Neckargemuend

Where the Elsenz river runs into the Neckar lies the picturesque town of Neckargemuend. Known as "Heidelberg’s beautiful neighbor", the traces of more than 1000 years of history can still be found in the corners and alleys of the old town. With its three hillside village districts of Dilsberg, Mueckenloch and Waldhilsbach, Neckargemuend offers ideal conditions for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers.

Visitor attractions:
Highly recommended are a tour of the old town of Neckargemuend with a visit to the museum in the Old Town Hall, a walk to the ‘Reichenstein’ ruin and a visit to the fortress town of Dilsberg, visible from afar.
